What’s up, Family!
I’m Calvin Austin - the man behind the Calvin Austin Apparel brand, and I want to tell you a little about myself. I have made a home in Hampton Roads, Virginia with my beautiful wife, Benita, and our two amazing children, Ami’ya and Calvin II.
For as long as I can remember, music has been a huge part of my life. My grandmother, and other members of my family, nurtured my love for music and laid the foundation for my accomplishments. Norfolk State University was the next level of my training. I earned a Bachelor of Music Media in 1996 from NSU. I am a keyboardist, songwriter, producer, and all around creative. I am the Founder and CEO of Austin Touch Productions. In addition, I am the Minister of Music for Mount Tabor Church of God in Christ as well as The Mount at Peninsula.
At the onset of the recent pandemic, I decided to begin using social media to uplift all who would join my live streaming sessions through playing, singing, genuinely connecting, and laughing. With so much negativity in the world, I wanted to create a daily oasis for people to come and forget about the worries they faced in their every day lives. We built a community of positivity through coming together to love and encourage each other through the power of music, love, and laughter.
Anyone who knows me will say that I am a man of intentional words. As such, I’ve been inspired to create this apparel line to capture those words and phrases I use the most.
